Love this Doctors office, amazing doctor, assistant, and staff!!! Every time I come to this clinic. Everyone especially Dr. Head and Marcos are always compassionate and willing to stand in for me on my behalf. I always feel safe and heard. Thank you so much everything each one of you do. I BELIEVE IN YOU=Accept it as TRUTH!!

We were in and out quickly. The staff was very kind, compassionate, proficient and thorough. The doctor took his time with us and talked to us on a personable level. The staff made us feel like a priority and not just a number. The office was also clean. We will definitely go back in the future when we need care.

The staff was great about getting me in and out efficiently. I did not have a long wait time and the doctor took time to talk to me and answer all of my questions. He was kind and empathetic. The whole experience was a 10/10.

This place is very well organized, clean and I was extremely impressed with the entire staff. Very friendly, caring, informative, helpful, and patient concerned. From the receptionist, the nurse, and the doctor, All made me feel joy because they actually showed true concern. We have a New Primary Care staff that I know that were going to enjoy taking care of us. Thanks for the unconditional love and care.

I feel like I was blown off by the doctor. He diagnosed me with asthma before even assessing for what I actually had. Did not listen when I said the breathing treatment did not help. Made comments about how I was pale and needed sun (nothing to do with why I was at the doctor). Ended up going to my doctor the following day to find out I have a viral infection.

90+ minute wait, on a full bladder for a drug screen with two drug screen before mine. Temperature of the building was maybe 60 degrees at best. Plus the beds are wooden and gross.

Both my sister and I recently visited American Family Care in Smyrna. We both received excellent care. We were able to sign in online and save our spot and had very little wait time. I highly recommend this place.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and I received prompt assistance without any delays. The space was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Additionally, Dr. Head kindly referred me to a GYN I needed after my visit. I will certainly return in the future.

I didn’t have to wait to long to see the doctor. They were all super nice and friendly there. Was in and out. Sent the stuff right away to my pharmacy. Best service I ever had an a urgent care place

The staff was very nice and friendly. They had about 5 patients in waiting area. While I was waiting about maybe 15 minutes 3 or4 patients came out from the back after being seen. They were definitely busy and turning patients in a timely manner. Trish was very thorough on making sure the vitals and information asked of me was correct. While still typing in the information the Dr Head came in was very pleasant and courteous and had a quick response to what should be done. Thank you to all of those who took time to check me in and see me.

When you arent feeling well, the last thing you want to do is complete a bunch of questions. Kim was very understanding and compassionate while helping me with the registration. Trish was very caring and quick to get me taken care of. Dr. Head was on top of my symptoms and knew exactly what I needed. I will definitely return for any future medical needs. Nice clinic, easy to register (online), nice nurse. Dr. Jonathan Head, MD was above and beyond, he was so nice and check my pain reason in a perfect way. He was so funny with me and my young daughter also.I would like to thank all the team.

I came in due to an incident at work which required a drug examination. I was told to register via an app or online by scanning a QR code. I had been here before and dont know why I had to re-enter all of my information instead of just verifying who I was. It took a long time to be seen even though there were not many people in the building. Afterwards, I did not get a copy of the results showing whether I was cleared or not when I had in my previous visit. It was just a copy showing that I was there and why; and my supervisor who was present was not able to get a copy of the company copy. They insisted that it had to be emailed so we had to contact HR, which was out of the office (after hours). We needed that information to clear me to go back to work. I think that they are set up in such a way that is not necessarily beneficial to businesses and not helpful to their visitors in providing necessary information. If my copy had at least showed no drugs were present, my supervisor could have made an executive decision to allow me to go back to work immediately.

Nas was nice and so was Ananda …. I felt rushed by the doctor. My blood pressure was 170/110. He listened to my chest and said it was tight. He gave me antibiotics….. not one question about my blood pressure. I hope l get the help l need. I paid $175 for a 2 minute visit. Absolutely horrible. What if l had a stroke? Shame on AFC.

I needed a blood draw for a health screening for insurance discounts.There was only one person in the waiting area when I got there. I waited twenty minutes before gong for vitals then waited about an hour for someone to show up. She didn’t have a name tag and I don’t know if she was a doctor or not. She spent five minutes in the room at most, then sent for a tech to draw blood who showed about ten minutes later with no equipment. Came back with equipment finally drew blood.Total time was two hours for a blood draw.Unacceptable by any standard.

The PA & tech was very nice and kind. The tech made sure to keep me informed that they were running behind because of short staff that day. She also apologized as well. The PA was awesome as well with explaining what she would give me for my symptoms. They both took their jobs very serious! I will keep going back thanks to them.Thank you

We were well taken care of. We didnt have a very long waiting time and everyone was super friendly. I like coming here.Update 10-4-2024My son was complaining of a bugging ear problem so we went in, and Doctor Head took care of us as always..The young lady and the young gentleman that took care of us were super friendly and smiling..Thank you for making our visit a pleasure.

Visited on 12/4/24....Scheduling is easy, check-in even easier, staff was okay. Long wait although I was pre-registered, short staffed. But I discovered errors were made and I had to repeat my pre-employment testing. Not the staffs fault that was working, but a system breakdown. But they acknowledged it and tried to rectify the issue, I chose to repeat my testing at another location. Would not return.

I went to get tested for Covid and the Flu. Both tests were negative, thank goodness but the appt took forever. I made an appt for 10:30a. I got called back after 5 mins, got my vitals and temp taken, went into a room. I waited an hour and 10 mins just for the doctor to come in to ask “did you get swabbed yet?” I said no, the nurse came in and swabbed me and it took another 20 mins to get the results. The office was not busy and I dont understand why it took an hour and 30 mins. Thats unacceptable. Will not be back and do not recommend.

Came in to get an infected tattoo looked at and the whole process was so simple, quick & easy from making the appointment online, checking in online and getting the proper care i needed. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, will choose to come back for any other health concerns.

Absolute joke of a clinic. I went there on Friday with a broken toe because I thought they had an on site x-ray like their website seems to claim and could diagnose the issue quickly. Well, it turns out, they dont. They sent me off-site to Rayus Radiology down the road, but the doctor said they would hear back from the x-ray place within 3 hours and wed have an answer. Well, I went there and got my x-rays done, but Rayus apparently takes two to three business days to get the results back. Which when youre possibly dealing with a broken bone is absolutely insane to me. Why was I sent to an X-ray place that takes half a week to get back to someone on a possible broken bone?!?!Worse, I have been unable to reach the doctor at AFC ever since I left there on Friday. Ive called at least a dozen times, trying to see if hes reviewed my x-rays and if my toe is broken and if there is anything more I should do for it besides ice and elevation. But I cant get through to anyone. And the two times I was ever able to get through to anyone at all, they said Rayus had never sent over the X-rays to them and that when they did, they would call me back.Its been FIVE DAYS since I broke my toe. This is absolutely the worst place to go in any sort of emergency or urgent need. Avoid them like the plague and save your time energy and money. Total garbage facility and I am beyond sorry I ever wasted my time going here. No one answers the phone, no one calls you back, and the care they provide is worse than what you can find using ChatGPT. Save yourself the headache Ive endured and run as far away from this place as possible.EDIT: Saw the response, emailed them, never even got an answer back from them. Zero surprise that their email advocate is just as useless as the clinic. Front desk person from the clinic called me back after TWO WEEKS to tell me they referred me to a specialist but had zero other information to give me. Still a complete waste of time all around. I went to another doctor who was able to take new X-rays on site, explained what was wrong within 30 minutes, and gave me a care plan with a follow up scheduled to check on the progress.Do yourself a favor - if you want decent care, go literally ANYWHERE but here. Youd be better off asking a random raccoon for assistance than this place. At least you wouldnt have to pay the raccoon for it to ignore you.

Excellent efficiency and very personable friendliness. Dr.Jonathan Head took time to discuss my concerns with a smile and good humor. He lifted my spirit as he spoke about what steps were next. I decided to become a regular patient at AFC.

The ladies up front were very helpful with the check in & the nurse I had took great care of me. The wait wasnt long at all, so it was a smooth transition into seeing the doctor. There was great care shown amongst the staff & I would likely return in the future if needed too.

I was checked in by Patricia and she was very nice and considerate,then Hannah came in and did my exam we also talked about my labs results that I had done the day before. She was very helpful in explaining them to me. Upon leaving I saw Patricia and we talked she offered me so excellent advice and also made me copies to follow my diet .. The compassion and understanding I received from both of them went along way with me..!! 10/10

I will not be back. I came in on the Sunday after thanksgiving. Very sick and needing help. They told me “you haven’t been sick long enough for us to do anything” went back home. Suffered for two more days. Got in with a REAL doctors office. Got treated right away with bad of condition I was in. With the real possibility of what I had turning in to pneumonia. I will not come back or refer anyone else ever again to this clinic.

Wasn’t feeling well, in Tennessee for the weekend. Excellent service from the front desk to the back office. The staff is incredibly friendly. Excellent professionals Hanna and Angie were AMAZING!

It was crowded when I initially went in around 10am but everyone I interacted with was incredibly pleasant and helpful. They calmed my anxiety and never made me feel foolish or that they werent interested in what I was saying. I felt seen and comforted and I will be back if I have any other medical concerns.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Head and his staff. They have a very easy check-in system set up, you are seen within a reasonable amount of time, and treated like a friend.

A very good place to provide urgent health care for all family members. They have a wonderful and very helpful staff, from the reception desk employee who heped me a lot with registration she was patient and kind with me and helped me obtain the insurance information from the employer to the health care provider doctor Jonathan Head he treated me with respect, kindness, and professionalism at workI would like to thank them all and highly recommend this place

Absolutely amazing. They are all very nice and actually listened to what I had to say. Dr. Head really cares about his patients and goes above and beyond for them. Dr. head and his assistant dnasir were amazing. Very welcoming, empathetic and personable. Amazing first time experience. Wait time was nothing super crazy long, was easy to make a first time appointment and the service was very professional and efficient. Didnt catch the front desk ladys name but she was also very sweet and made the check in smooth and easy.

Went here for pain in the abdomen and back. All the staff was super nice and friendly. For what I was experiencing the doctor came to the conclusion I most likely had a pulled muscle that was causing the pain. After being prescribed muscle relaxers, they did not work so I went back the next day. They then gave me a piece of paper to take to Premier Health to have an ultrasound of my abdomen that was supposed to be done asap (same day) got to premier and they told me they couldn’t do it until almost a month out. I was in enough pain that I decided to go to the ER. After spending 8 days in the hospital and many needles, scans, ultrasounds, etc, it was determined that I was in kidney failure. Don’t want to hate on this place whatsoever due to what they’re limited to. But you yourself knows your body the best and if you think yourre experiencing something more than a cold or something else minor, I would not recommend going here. Again, staff was extremely polite and nice but it seemed as if they weren’t at all too concerned with my symptoms and seemed to brush them off as something very minor.

Dr. Head and his staff are incredibly considerate and thoughtful. I’ve been a patient for years now and never felt more comfortable and taken care of. I would recommend them to any and everyone.

I went bc Ive had a bad cough, sore thoart, nose & chest congestion for over a week. The Dr diagnosed me with a chest cold. However he never listened to my lungs or heart nor feel to see if the lymph nodes in my neck were swollen. He was more concerned with the fact that I waited till 5pm to come in. He was ready to go home

The provider I saw today was Hannah. She has excellent bedside manner and was very concerned about my health. To me that matters. Not a long wait. Thankful.

The staff here is wonderful! But, I was looking for an urgent care that could do X-rays. They were on my Google search and since I have used them before (and had a good experience) I choose them. However, the exam was good, Dr. Head was great, nurse great, but then had to go another place for the X-ray. Now I have to pay another (bigger fee) for it. If you cannot perform a service you should let a person know upfront. My visit just became unaffordable but necessary. 😩

I thought this place would be an easy help me feel better place. I was wrong. The front waiting room looks like it’s newly renovated, but it looks like Gatlinburg visitor information center. The front office staff was not friendly at all. One guy didn’t even look up to acknowledge I was trying to check in. The one girl just took my insurance card and gave me paperwork. Said very few words. The young guy who brought us back to the room was nice. No complaints about him, but the heat in this facility was BLASTED. I have never been to a medical office that’s hot and uncomfortable to the point I took my light weight jacket off and my son did as well. It was 56 degrees outside. No need for the heat to be on 80! After waiting in this hot sauna, this doctor comes in and starts asking me the standard questions. He put off the weirdest vibe ever. His eye contact was not normal professional eye contact, but like staring into your soul creepy type eye contact. I was so ready to leave. I only came in there for a steroid shot for my migraine and something to stop my dry cough because I was giving a presentation that evening. After my examination, the doctor said “okay I’m going to send the MA in here to give you a steroid shot and I’ll turn the heat down”. At this point I’m like well okay, not only was he standing too close to me and staring into my soul, but he was judging the fact that I was hot. I then said yes it’s extremely hot in here and it’s not even cold outside. Heat is the worst thing when you’re trying to kill germs. After he left the MA came in and made me lay down for the shot that I’ve had over 7x. Which was fine, but she wanted us to wait until the shot took affect before leaving to make sure I don’t have any reactions. I told her I have no allergies and I have had this exact shot before with no symptoms, but I was like okay whatever I’ll wait. My son was being a normal 1year old and exploring the room while we were waiting. He opened a drawer that appeared to be empty and we found a dead roach in there. No big deal...it’s dead. But being that I work in the medical field, they need to hire a cleaning service to do nightly cleans and monthly deep cleans. After the roach issue, the MA came back in and said oh okay you didn’t have any reactions so let me get the doctor and then once he talks to you then you can leave. I was like why would I need to wait on him? He just went into another room? I then got up and left with my son and never turned back. I swear there is something in the air there or it was just the people working that day. I will never go back. Especially because the medication he gave me made my symptoms worse and it’s been over a week. I’m just got to follow up with my PCP and never try to go here on a weekend ever again. Or if I do I will make sure that same doctor is not working.

American Family Care in Smyrna answered the phone promptly when I called. I was able to fill out the paperwork online to save time. My son was seen the same morning, and the service was great.

I had an upper respiratory and sinus infection. The pain was getting severe in my right nasal cavity and it hurt when my teeth touched or when I bit down on something. I have this issue about once a year. Usually a steriod shot eases the pain quickly. I was seen around 11:30 AM and received a steriod shot. I was already feeling much better and the pain had eased tremendously by 2 PM.

They took really good care of me. Very patient and friendly. Every last one of them. I would definitely recommend.

Very good visit and i wish i had asked for a steriod dose pack along with the shot! still not feeling great today but taking all meds!

Dr. Head is a wonderful dr. He listen to his patients, treat them with kindness and compassion. My family has been in his care for a long time. Sadly the check in system need to be improved. Always short of staff and with the attitude like if you dont like it go elsewhere. Waited 2and a half hrs to be seen.

So blest to have AFC here. Thanks again to the doctor and staff for the urgent removal of the fish hook from my finger. I always receive excellent care and service here, and my daughter comes here too, when needed.

I have been a resident of the Smyrna area for 30 years. This AFC has been the life-changing facility as far as urgent care.I have been to this facility for everything from COVID tests to physicals, even blood testing for pregnancy.My children have both been seen here.Most visits, we see Dr. Head, but him and the whole staff Ive interacted with have been very respectful and helpful.They all definitely put our needs first and care about addressing whatever we are seen for that day.Thank you all for what you do. You are deeply appreciated.

The lab tech and medical assistant/nurse were very kind and informative. Went for simple vaccines, however the wait was not long and painless ☺️ thanks AFC and staff.

The part of my experience that was dissatisfactory is the fact that they will not tell you lab results over the phone. And they will also not email you your lab results to your email. You have to call LabCorp directly. Personally, I think it’s a silly policy.

They were all great! From the receptionist all the way to the doctor. They treated me better than my own regular doctor! Staff was very attentive and seemed to care. The doctor was very friendly and made me feel at ease, listened to and he didnt seem to be in a rush, which I appreciated very much. The wait time was acceptable, I was out of there way before the time I was told I would be seen. The place was clean, comfortable and easy to access. I will definitively return.

They got me in same day and quick! Staff was very polite and I felt like the doctor listened to my concerns and did not just wave me off like many other clinics.

Have typical winter cold tried to use your facility. Was told I was next . I was bumped by two other patients. Asked for refund. Will stick with my pcp

I came in for a routine check up. My overall experience was awesome. The staff were very pleasant. Starla and Trish made me feel so welcomed. Moreover Dr. Head who did my examination. He was very pleasant and gave me the best care. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back in the future.

If i could give 0 stars I would. If we bring a child in sick they should be covid/flu tested. Only sent for a chest xray due to all the wheezing on a severe asthmatic that was never marked stat My child tested positive for flu and 3 days later and at least 25 phone calls got premier to read xray that Dr. Head never put stat on.

Place is absolutely trash ,got blood work done ,then two days later went to my Dr and he tried calling for hours and could never get ahold of them ,so he had to then take new lab work again because they failed to even answer the phone ,Dr head failed and his manager named Samantha “L” she said her name was is Absolutely trash she was very rude and hostile and very smart mouthed and kept blaming the other Dr office for them not answering the phone ,sh then says she’s sorry for their actions,then I said Ty then she said but understand I only said that because you asked me to and y’all are still being billed ,I said I’m not paying you didn’t do anything and she said well it’ll go to collections,be dumb idc she said I said what’s your name she said it doesn’t matter to you ,then some lady said all I can tell you is her name is Samantha I said last name so I can’t complain they said “L” oh trust me hr will know who she is ,place is ran like a preschool and seen a few roaches on top of a rude staff ,shame on this place for not answering phones took me over 2 hrs to even finally reach someone then I’m called a liar ,Shame on them and if the owner reads this Samantha L whoever she is needs fired she’s definitely has a few screws loose and don’t need in a manger position

The wait in the lobby was ok however, the wait in the room to be seen by the doctor was much longer than Ive had to wait before. Once seen, things went quickly from there.

The entire staff was welcoming and got my labs done in a timely manner. I’m a hard person to stick when it comes to blood work but the the nurse got me done without sticking me 1,000 times. I was only stuck twice and that’s good for me. Even after my visit , they followed up. Great staff and I’m glad i started going there recently for my healthcare needs .

I visited the urgent care for the first time yesterday. I was in and out in 30 minutes. It was great! The front office receptionist was very pleasant. The MA who took my vitals was also very personable and efficient. The Doctor who attended me, Dr. Head, was absolutely awesome. Came in to the room with a great “bedside manner”. Very personable but also maintained professionalism. Overall lovely staff.

I’ve never been at an urgent care where there wasn’t a long wait. We got in and out no waiting. We were driving through Tennessee to go to StLouis for a funeral when my son started crying about his ear hurting. Dr. Head and his team have the best bedside manner. You can tell they care about their patients.

Very easy to get in to see a doctor. The office staff were very helpful and polite. The nurses, technicians and doctors have a very good bedside manner. They listen to your concerns and assess the situation. Very time efficient down to sending your prescription to the pharmacy. If needing to be seen quickly I would recommend highly. Every place has their peak hours of being busy. This wasn’t my first time going here and each time I have received very good care even when taking my children when they were younger.

Nothing against the lady at the desk., but when do walk in clinics dont except walk ins? Said I havent been there in 3 years , would not be able to see me. Would give a 1 star but the lady was nice and helped find other clinics.

Went in for DOT physical. Great staff, very nice. Nurses were also great. Dr. Head was very thorough and easy to deal with.

I would highly recommend AFC Smyrna due to them being very personable and responsive to patient needs. Their thorough and professional staff make every experience a very low stress and efficient environment. The doctors show genuine concern in all aspects of a healthier lifestyle for each individual and dont mind providing the time needed to address any concerns. I am so very thankful to have such an excellent care provider that goes above and beyond to ensure the best quality of health care.

Great place to go if you have the need for flexible visits - no appointments needed and their hours are convenient. My work hours are horrible and make it hard to schedule visits at most doctors offices. Everyone that I have encountered there is super friendly and helpful. Dr Head is very friendly and caring and Patricia Watts is super nice and friendly, as well, and seems very genuine and caring. The only thing I would change is their phone system - it’s hard to get through and talk to an actual person.

AFC was great. They got my son in and diagnosed him quickly. We were on our way with an antibiotic in a little over an hour!

Went in with cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, doctor never listen to my lungs or heart, or looked at my throat, or in my ears, maybe this is not standard practice for this clinic, but it seems with the symptoms I was having he would have least looked at my throat. I have gone to this clinic other times when I was ill and didn’t receive this type of service. Don’t feel like the doctor was thorough in my visit to diagnose me.

Nurses and doctors. They lie. I asked them if they had a blood pregnancy test. They said yes. I paid the money and nothing happened. This clinic is a failure. They stole my money.

AFC Smyrna is my primary care provider. I like the convenience of being able to reserve a spot in line ahead of time. The staff is friendly and attentive to my needs.

I always have a good experience here. The providers are good and the front desk processes you quickly. If they are very busy then it can take a while to be seen, understandably. I am happy to have an option for quality care after hours and on weekends so close to my home. I much prefer this location to the clinics in drugstores.

My visit with them today was good. I did not have a long wait time. Staff was very friendly. I feel I was properly diagnosed. This was my second visit with them. First was with my grand daughter. She came out happy and complementary about the doctor. I recommend this place to family and friends.

Visited this location several times normally a good experience though this past time me and my wife went there for sinus/allergy issues they did a good job with her but when it came to me the doctor didnt even come over to listen to my lungs or anything he simply looked at me and said and I quote So whats your deal..? Never again will I go there if that particular doctor is there. Everyone else there that day was helpful and nice but never again with this doctor.

I see people complain about this place, but what I can say is I’ve been treated good here at this clinic. I have seen Dr. Head on several occasions for various things, a bad cut on my hand, sick (before Covid occurred) and DOT physical.New review update April 3 2024Came in to see Dr Head again, dot physical. I was rushed out of an ophthalmologist’s office with fresh bad news and was completely disoriented and upset. My eyes were fully dilated and I could barely see. I visited this clinic just for bloodwork, but it was clear after 30 seconds of speaking with Dr. Jonathan Head that I would declare him my new Primary care physician. My impression is based on a mixture of ideal bedside manner and knowledge about a case clearly not in his daily sphere. I was really impressed. I highly recommend Dr. Head. How refreshing it was to see a doctor willing to spend time discussing my health. I left feeling so much better. All of his support staff was great too. I nearly fainted twice while giving about 20 gallons of blood and even got a free ginger ale for my money!But - Edit 2024 -Dr. Head is great, but one of the front desk staff people really, really upset me today. I had received only a 30 day supply of my medication after a previous visit and it was clearly a mistake because its always a year supply between visits. The front desk person was so dismissive and rude and clearly couldnt care less if I dropped dead or not. She has no business in that role. Fortunately, I called back the next day and spoke with someone who knows how to treat people and she and Dr. Head set me up. Wow that first person was so unbearable. She smirked at the idea of not being able to help me or relay a message to the doctor etc...

Do not go to this place! The doctor was great, but the office people have no idea what they’re doing. I got a prescription for 2 controlled substances to help with my excruciating nerve pain. I went to pick up the prescriptions after work and the pharmacy told me the papers they had given me at the urgent care were the wrong forms. Even though they had the correct medications/doctors names, etc, they did not have a piece of crucial information so I was unable to fill the prescription. Obviously, this is extremely frustrating as I was in immense pain and was unable to get my medication and AFC was now closed. The next day I called to ask what happened and to have the prescription faxed to another pharmacy to pick it up there. After hours of waiting for the pharmacy to receive it, many phone calls, holds, etc.. I am told that they were unable to reach the doctor that prescribed me the medication and so would have another doctor (who has never met or seen me) write me an entirely different prescription. He prescribed me lidocaine (which I already have. If he had met with me he would have known that) and an anti-inflammatory (similar to Tylenol/ibuprofen) (which HAVE NOT been working for my pain at all, which I told the original doctor). I rejected these prescriptions, seeing as I already had both and neither worked. This AFC wasted so much of my time and energy and stole $25 from me, as I did not receive any care there. Cherry on top, I was in excruciating pain that entire time, I still am, and have no medication to help. I have to go to another urgent care now and spend more time, energy, and money getting the exact same thing done. This has taken up and ruined my entire weekend. The people in this office should be embarrassed to work at a health care establishment; clearly do not care about the actual health of their patients at all. It’ll be a Quick drive to another urgent care and you’ll actually get the help you need. Save your time, energy and money and go somewhere else.

Very attentive, took care of my needs and ordered my prescription in a timely matter. I actually received a text message from my Pharmacy regarding my prescription before I left. The wait time was not bad at all. Highly recommend this office. Front Desk, Nurse and Doctor (in order that I saw them) were above and beyond my expectations. This is the BEST experience Ive ever had at an Urgent Care. F.Y. I. My other visits were in another state.

I had to go in for a workers compensation injury. They got all the necessary paperwork for me to be examined. Dr Head was very helpful and gave me great advice on how to deal with my injury, I appreciate his being straightforward with me. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. The ladies in the office were all amazing!

Friday evening after Thanksgiving I was seen by Dr. Jonathan Head at the Smyrna location who was very professional, kind, empathetic and had a wonderful bedside manner, which you dont see very often anymore. I went in feeling terrible and after a breathing treatment, he had me leaving in laughter. The entire staff was great!!!! I would definitely recommend American Family Care.

My family loves Dr. Jonathan Head at the Urgent Care in Smyrna. My son adores him and we all truly feel listened to and cared about. I will continue to go to him for my medical needs. I highly recommend him. They are open 7 days a week.

Went in last night feeling horrible, was seen by Dr Moore. He prescribed injection and medication and I feel 50% better this morning. It hasn’t even been 24 hrs yet. Everyone at the care center were kind and informative. I believe I’ve found a gem I can go to in short notice.

I came on here to just brag on one of the works. I am originally from Chattanooga Tennessee and I wasn’t familiar with too many clinics. I came in to ask a couple of questions. One of the works by the name of Dnasir was very respectful and helpful. He was so patient even though I asked about 500 questions lol. His energy was just so welcoming.

Dr. Head was great, his bedside manner was amazing, very efficient and direct. Best experience I have had in a very long time. I won’t be putting off my medical care anymore. The staff was friendly and I will be recommending to friends and family.

We had a great experience at this place. The wait was reasonable for our first time. After we were in our room and the nurse took the information, the doctor was there moments later. Ive never had a doctor just sit and listen and seem so caring for me before. Dr. Head is awesome! When we need urgent care, this is where well go.

I had an urgent need for medical attention, my doctors office couldnt squeeze me in for a week, that was unacceptable. I went to American Family Care in Smyrna. The front desk lady was extremely helpful, got me signed in and had very little wait. I was called back, had vitals taken, then placed in a room. Within 15 minutes I had lab work, saw the doctor, had a prescription submitted to my pharmacy and was on my way. I highly recommend this office for any urgent medical care.

Only waited a few minutes which is unheard of based on my past walk-in clinic experience. I was seen by Dr. Smith who was courteous and thorough and his diagnosis and treatment were spot on. Thankful for this clinic and their staff. This is definitely my new go-to urgent care clinic and I will be telling others about this place as well.

Took my grandson there for a laceration on his cheek & the Dr was excellent. His bedside manner was fantastic & my grandson was never afraid. He was very well taken care of! The whole staff were awesome! Highly recommend & would come back.

I had a great experience. The staff was right on point, very helpful and friendly! Dr. Lauren Kathary was amazing! She had a great personality. She was thorough and answered all my questions. I went in for some fungal ring growing on my arm doctor told me it was nothing she didn’t do any testing but told me on the phone the testing was included but never did any I even explained to her that I do combat sports but it was like she was just trying to get me out of there long story short it was ringworm don’t go to this place they just want your money

Front desk staff was amazing and helpful.The wait was what you would expect for a walk in clinic.The doctor didnt spend very much time with us and I didnt feel like he really talked to us about the sick child we brought in. He literally mumbled ear infection and pharmacy as he walked out the door. I had to go down the hall to ask him if we were finished, as he had given no real instruction.

Everything was great other than the fact that they advertise as having x ray abilities. However no tech, so asked if I came back the next day to do a check on a sprain would they be there for an x ray and was told no.

We went there because my husband was sick and I was getting sick. We were seen in the same room and the doctor halfassed checked us out. He listened to my chest, not my husband’s, then the doctor looked in my husband’s ears and throat and he didn’t even looked at mind. My husband is having shortness of breath really bad and they didn’t even give him an inhaler because of him not being able to breathe. This is the worst doctor we’ve ever seen in this office. The office staff were great a 5 star but this doctor we saw was a 1 star.

Anytime Ive gone here, they are polite, caring, sympathetic & truly listen to me. The NP was there today & shes awesome! Thank you AFC for remembering that people need to be treated like people and not just a case you read in your medical studies to be treated all the same!

So my son went in today for a fever of 103.1 and when he left they said he had a upper respiratory infection and for me to give him some Tylenol or Motrin and so I called up there to see if they do a presentations for those bc rn I dont have the money to get them and they told me no bc I can buy them over the counter

I came here for some illness I had been experiencing over the weekend, and I was quite nervous on the way in. However, everybody I met with was extremely comforting, kind, and professional. I felt like I was under great and relatively speedy care throughout my experience. I am very glad I chose this place over anywhere else. One of the best parts of my experience is that along with my excuse notes, I received extensively detailed instructions on how to best take care of myself and what medicines and measures I ought to take to ensure that I feel better as soon as possible. Even my primary care physician has never gone to that extent before. Thank you guys for helping me in my time of need, and thank you for going the extra mile!

Update: I emailed them as they asked myself and pretty much everything else who had a bad experience to do and they did nothing and never emailed me back! Thanks for nothing.The front desk was nice. However,I went in an hour before they closed and they called me back about 10 minutes before they closed. I didnt mind the wait but as soon as Dr. Head came in he immediately said, How are you? Id be better if people didnt come in right before we closed. I tried to explain that I had been here an hour beforehand but he didnt care. He asked what was going on. I had been sick for like 4 days and was in a lot of pain. I was exhausted at this point from being in pain and While explaining my pain the Dr was rolling his eyes and said, lets have a little perspective, you dont have cancer. Basically saying dont be dramatic which I didnt feel like I was, I was just at the end of my rope. And you cant just tell people they dont have cancer so be positive. He barely looked at my ears and throat and nose and said yeah its probably just a flu youll get over it when I asked how long until I feel better he again belittled me and said, 7 to 10 days isnt a long time get over it he prescribed me one dose of a steroid and some medicine for congestion that the pharmacy has explained to him multiple times they do not have. He had no compassion at all. I cried after a saw him. Just remember you have no idea what people are going through I just lost my mom to cancer, I have 2 little ones so 10days of pain and sickness is a long time. All I ask is that you show people some respect and compassion. He had no patience for anything I said or did. The Dr made me feel like I was bothering him and not worth his time. Will never go again and will never recommend it to others.

Last, Dr. Jonathan Head, he was professional, kind, a great listener, open- minded, caring, amazing personality, understanding, and professionally friendly ~ his bedside manners was very impressive. The checkin process was easy and the staff professional. Being from out of town, going to a walk in clinic was the last thing I wanted to do. But AFC made the process as easy as it could have been. Nice, clean facilities….would highly recommend.

On my advice, after 2 days of symptoms, my Young Adult family member went for urgent care services this past Sunday. He chose AFC-Smyrna.... big mistake! He received a quickie doorway medical evaluation from a male provider wearing glasses. The medical staff posed the very question that insurance was paying him to professionally diagnose --the cause of symptoms? The treatment plan advice was a flu shot & ibuprofen. What a waste for such an inapt hands-off medical assessment conducted without the provider fully entering the exam room. Resounding: Do NOT Recommend this facility!

We had a HORRIBLE experience! If I could give zero stars, I would! He brought in a diagnosis packet before he even looked at my son. When he walked in he sat down, and didn’t even look nor touch my child. I had asked him to look at my child’s mouth 3 or 4 times and he didn’t show any signs of wanting to nor cared to. On the last request he said, “ I mean, I can if you want me to.”We told him “No, we will go find someone who wants to act like they care and wants to do their job.” He than stood in front of the door, and placed his arm and hand on me and pushed us back. He said “ What else do you want me to do?” We then told him “ We need to leave!”

PROS: The staff are very nice and professional.CONS: Very expensive. I cant believe I paid One hundred and thirty something dollars for a walk in beside the cost of tests.I really wish to go back and ask the doctor why I only got one shot and pills that lasted for a day as thorough treatment for a supposed UTI, but the fact that I have to pay another $135 or thereabout is very bad.How would I pay such amount everyday for the number of days Im supposed to go there in order to get more injections and be properly treated?I feel the first time visit and the subsequent visits shouldnt cost the same. Unless they enjoy ripping people off.

Functional free Wi-Fi! The staff was nice and TB tests are much cheaper than Walgreens or Kroger.

Took myself and daughter here because when I’ve gone for myself it’s always been really good but for my infant it wasn’t. I couldn’t get her into her doctor so I took her in they couldn’t weigh her without weighing me holding her than by myself. They had me stand her up to get her height ( she’s only 5 months old) and the doctor barely listened to her breathing seeing myself and her he wasn’t even in the room 5 min. I had always thought very highly of this place but now I’m very disappointed
